High Point is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and High Point follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I was super excited to find out that this connects to City Lake Park. Now that I know, I’m already planning my return to run from here all the way to the Bicentennial Greenway. I seriously cannot wait. Peaceful and tranquila; the kind of place that makes you slow down and just breathe it all in. πŸŒΏπŸƒπŸΎβ€β™€οΈ And the smell out there was so interesting. I kept looking around for a bakery or maybe even a cucumber patch because it literally smelled like fresh bread baking mixed with fresh garden air. πŸ˜‚ Does anyone know if there’s a bakery nearby, or was that just nature doing its thing this morning?

Great system of trails and building open even on Sundays to use the restroom and see some native animals (turtles, snakes) and natural history information. On the trail I actually couldn't hear the noise from the road which was lovely.

This is an interesting and cool place to visit. Trail options. Convenient forest /nature immersion in minutes. Sure you can faintly hear cars but honestly it doesn't take anything away from the experience. You see squirrels and deer tracks, turtles, fishing and frogs. Do look out for spider webs lol. Love the little hills and uneven dirt trails laced with roots and some rocks in places. You can also walk on pavement. Snakes inside the building in cages. Don’t miss the little signs in various places to bring your attention to mindful thought that help with the experience. I shall return.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit here in fall β€˜22! I hiked the Bill Faver Lakeshore Trail (1.8 miles) and was surprised by how hilly the trail was. The trail followed the lake, surrounded by beautiful trees, unique fauna, and wildlifeβ€”deer and birds. There were not a ton of people there, so it was particularly relaxing. A beautiful, well-kept local gem!
